The University of Louisville’s flurry of football recruiting commitments continued over the weekend, with four-star Cincinnati defensive back Nilijah Ballew and three-star Jacksonville, Fla., wide receiver Desean Blair pledging to the Cardinals.
They are the sixth and seventh players to commit to U of L since April 11 and the eighth and ninth pledges overall in the 2014 class.
Ballew, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound player from Walnut Hills High School rated as the nation’s No. 22 safety by Rivals.com, announced his commitment on Twitter on Sunday afternoon.
Blair, a 6-4 player from Sandalwood High School, made his decision on Saturday.
Blair is U of L’s fifth commitment from Florida and second from Jacksonville, joining offensive lineman Kavaris Harkless, who picked the Cards on Tuesday.
Ballew and Columbus tight end Micky Crum, who made his decision on April 13, are U of L’s Ohio pledges.
