The University of Louisville continued its strong recruiting work in Ohio on Saturday with a commitment from Cincinnati Elder tight end Devin Pike – the Cardinals’ sixth pledge from that state.
Pike, a 6-foot-6, 225-pound player, is U of L’s 21st commitment in all.
He is rated three-stars and the No. 47 prospect in Ohio by Rivals.com. The Cards also have the Nos. 14 (Nilijah Ballew), 23 (Danny Burns), 31 (L.J. Scott), and 56 (Micky Crum, another tight end) players from the state on board.
Pike’s pledge pushes U of L’s class up four spots to No. 12 in Rivals’ team rankings.
Pike also had offers from Minnesota, Illinois, Boston College, Virginia and multiple non-BCS-conference teams.
